BarBri's Fifth Level of Hell: Getting Stupider

As if trying to learn every legal principle / doctrine / analysis ever created wasn't bad enough, there comes a point when you are not as far along as you need to be, but then your brain starts leaking information it collected earlier.

I managed to rock my simulated MBE such that, had it been my score on the actual MBE, I would have passed with some points to spare. Since that time, I have not managed to get over 30% of my questions correct on any subsequent practice test and I don't have a blessed clue what the fuck I'm doing anymore.

Wills & Trusts and Corporations squeezed Property, Evidence, and Contracts out of my tiny little skull. That explains why my right ear keeps popping.

If you did that well on the barbri simulated MBE, you're doing well, even if you feel like you're leaking at the moment. The barbri MBE is extra-special evil, because they want to throw as many curve balls at you now so you don't get wigged out by them in the actual exam. I found the Real MBE to be significantly less difficult than either barbri or PMBR's simulation. Are you doing barbri or PMBR questions right now? If the latter, they're even better at throwing curveballs than the barbri people are. If you feel like you're getting stupider, it's a very good idea to step away from it and not think about it for a day or two. Get some sun and exercise. Your brain is a muscle (kind of) and muscles need rest between workouts, or they turn into useless limp noodles.

Ya know, I keep hearing this. Yet for some reason, it does not comfort me.
